Our Team

Rickey J. Brantley

Rickey Brantley serves on the Board of the Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County which has been serving the homeless in Fort Worth and Tarrant County for over 120 years.  He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Mission and is past Chairman of the Board.

 

He has served as a Board member of the Methodist Justice Ministry, an organization that offers counseling and legal services to people who would be unable to afford those services.

 

Rickey has been an active supporter of Camp Fire and the Y. W. C. A. He has mentored at East Handley Elementary School in Fort Worth since 2008 and is a supporter of the Paschal High School Booster Club. Rickey is a member of the Fort Worth Club and Colonial Country Club.

In 2011, Alex joined the firm of Rickey J. Brantley, P.C. as an associate and has practiced in Fort Worth  with Brantley ever since. In 2019 BrantleyPelley, PLLC was formed and the firm has continued to practice general civil litigation.  Alex’s area of practice covers many civil litigation areas including, personal injury, insurance claims, business disputes, investment fraud, probate litigation and oil and gas interests.

 

Alex is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and admitted to practice in the Northern District of Texas.  Alex is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association (Board of Directors), Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation, University of Colorado Alumni Association and the Texas A&M University School of Law Alumni.

 

Alex has been named to Fort Worth Top Attorneys since 2015 and named as a Rising Star by Texas Monthly Magazine in 2019.

Cathie Smith

Cathie has a varied background which has been valuable to the clients of BrantleyPelley, PLLC. Cathie is often times the first contact of the firm for many of our clients and plays a very active role in all of the firms cases until they are resolved.

Cathie worked in the Oil and Gas industry before taking an IT position with Cunningham Lindsey transitioning to Account Manager in Client Services. Prior to joining the firm of BrantleyPelley previously RJBPC, she was the bookkeeper and office manager for Fred J. Bastie and Associates, a Dallas CPA firm.
